Buddy Hield, the son of Bahamas becomes the 1st Bahamian born and Caribbean born basketball player to win the 3pt shoot out. Bahamas did claim the 2015 3 pt title won by Golden State Warriors star, Klay Thompson, whose father is Bahamian and had spent a large part of his youth in Bahamas.

Hield though, one of the top scorers on the Sacramento Kings, edged out Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker in a thrilling finish where he drained 7 of his last 8 shots to lift the trophy.

Although he has hit 800 3s the fastest in NBA history, of the 8 sharp shooters that entered the competition, he was ranked 6th most likely to win. Well Buddy Hield proved them wrong. Congrats to Buddy Hield, Bahamas and the Sacramento Kings.
